Sick Band (USA, 1981)

As punk novelties go, "Punk Rock" is pretty cool. "Boogers" is just dumb. Though the sleeve prominently shows "Boogers", the A side is "Punk Rock" on the record. Popsike shows copies of this selling recently on eBay from $82 to $236. From Orlando, Florida. Now buzz off until I find something else to post.

I used to know those guys. The reason that "Punk Rock" was the A side was because they originally intended it that way, but when people started requesting "Boogers" they decided to focus the attention on that song.

Hands down the most original band to ever come out of Orlando; they always drew huge crowds. I used to have a copy of this record that came with a cool button that said "Get Sick". Wish I still had it.

I was the drummer for the sick band, we just got wind of this. We are shocked that anyone would not like "Boogers". Crazy world, go figure.

Very talented and entertaining band. Even had "The Worlds Greatest Kazooist". Hard to beat that! Not many bands feature a kazoo player nowadays.

I still have a couple of the 45's and one Get Sick button. I had a lot of fun making music and recording that 45 with Rex and Jay and the gang! I only wish we had recorded more tunes. However, the video format would have been better as the shock value of the live performance wouldn't have been lost.

Thanks Jay, I appreciate the link!

For the drummer who responded. I just passed a Krystals today. I will always remember that song. The first verse is classic.

I played trumpet, along with Bill F... with the Sick band, for a Christmas show at the Point After, and it was one of the best shows I'd ever been in.

I know Bill Fart and I know the one and only horn player for the Sick Band "Cosmic Tom" To this "trumpet player" that joined the band for a song...lets get your name so we can put it in the hat for the raffle
